I'm almost too exhausted to leave one of my trademark long comments. Almost. It'll still probably be shorter than my usual.

Okay, so, it's DONE. This monster thing I've been working on for ages is finally here, and she's possibly one of the best things I've done to date, for many reasons.

Some of my followers might remember this was a series I started a long time ago, then abandoned. Now that I'm back babeh I'm going to try and tackle it once more, starting with Aphrodite.

I'm going to restrain myself from explaining this too much - instead, have fun trying to spot the different symbols I included that are all associated with of the Goddess of Love. If you really want me to, I'll come back and point them out.

Finally, I need to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone over at ImagineFX forums who critiqued this along the way (and to those who sneak peaked from my journal). It's cliche, but I couldn't have done this without that help.

I'm sure there are things that could be a lot better, and elements that are certainly less than true-to-life (like the water/wave/dress/foam, for example), but I'm happy with the final choices I've made with her :) :) which is rare for me lol

Technical Details
As usual, Photoshop & Painter - tried lots of new techniques with this one, it was a real learning curve. I used minimal references in the end (more because of the impossibility of finding good refs), finally did for the mic-hand and her feet. I looked at pics of Beyonce for inspiration, but no direct refs of her used - hopefully though I captured little bits of her 'spirit' in this ^_^ Also looked at some ancient Greek jewellery to help me with that.
