Inspired by William-Adolphe Bouguereau's painting of the same title (though he spells it Virgil, I think). I took the pose of the two naked men fighting and painted Dante and Vergil from DMC3 in their place ^^; lots of creative license used here >_>

Thanks! If you check the original painting it's based on, that's actually what the guy's doing to the other guy --- though it's not vampiric, they're simply ripping each other apart in Hell ;)

Ohh! I remember finding this years back, but not knowing who did it. I thought it was a great interpretation, then, and maintain that thought now. Great light and shadow, and mimicry of the original painting.

Congrats on the DD! You deserve it :)

Was going to give a really pervy answer, but instead I'll say since the naked dudes weren't Dante/Vergil in the original painting as far as I remember (long time ago since I researched it now), then this is simply my preference of things :D
