Well hello there! Fancy meeting you here. And guess what? I come bearing gifts! Sort of. See, I've been watching Tim Minchin's Occasional Address, and basically forcing it down people's throats because it's awesome and I think people should bow to my will. This includes you.

It's one of the most funny and inspiring speeches I've ever heard, and I don't normally like inspiring speeches. Too inspirational. But this... I highly recommend it! And if you don't know who Tim Minchin is... well... aren't you a silly goose.

I admit it, I hate drawing hands. I used to be one of those people who would always draw people with hands mysteriously behind their backs >_> so this is just a kickass little resource for helping you practice!

Here's my latest thingie


I also have a couple of tutorials up my sleeve as soon as I get time to finish them --- and assuming people are interested!

One is a "How to Paint Scales" using some cool revised scale brushes, and another is fast and dirty way on, "how to paint brickwork" because I dislike spending a lot of time painting walls and thought others might, too. Actually the scales one is pretty fast and dirty as well, now that I think about it. It's all about the fast and dirty! I have to stop saying that now, you'll all get the wrong impression!

I keep trying to think of things that I haven't been able to find tutorials on, or at least not ones that work for me, because I know a lot of them are things that frustrated me

Turn it off and back on again: a sound practice in anything IT related, so I figured why not try it with my DA. Not literally, but, metaphoricall..y... yeahhhh... this sounded better in my head. Anyway, onward and upward!

So, why have I been so absent-DA?

For starters, I had a quarter-life crisis, quit a stable, reliable job to begin a career as a poor university student. Actually I'm loving it, but yeah. It's been hectic! Looking forward to the mid-life crisis though in another couple of decades. Apparently that comes with a sweet new ride and a hot young plaything (you figure out which one is the car). Or is that only for guys??

Oh, I've been taking on a fair few commissions (such as this one) lately as well, which has been awesome.

But, now I've joined the 21st Century (again)!

Yeah I'm one of those people that gets all excited about joining up with something and then forgets about it, BUT I'm really giving it a go this time. So, I'd love for you guys to

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm back, been busy, life is crazy, etc etc. Now on to the important stuff.

Mass Effect 3. Who has played it? Who was absolutely devastated? I don't want to incite a riot in my journal but I had to ask. I know it's already been out for ages but I've been so busy I'm a little late getting to it and... yeah. No spoilers but... T_T. I'm a firm believer in the indoctrination theory though (don't try to sway me otherwise! It's the only way I can cope >_<).

On another note, who's seen the Hunger Games? I can understand why it's such a hit; right after watching the movie I bought the audiobook. Is awesome!

Anyway, enough fangirling. Hope you're all doing well out there in internet-land! I've got to catch up on...hmm... a number beyond all imagining... of reviews and comments, so until then... thank you so much everyone who's left comments, fav'd or watched me! You are the awesome.

Because when he talks about how his banana trees are impossible to get rid of and just keep growing back (even in the garbage), I helpfully point out that at least there'll be something around to eat after an apocalypse. Possibly with another treat that will survive an apocalypse: roaches.
